WHAT IS RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS ?
Rhythmic gymnastics or also called modern gymnastics is a sport that combines grace and elegance, the elements of ballet, gymnastics, dance, calisthenics, and apparatus manipulation. It is the performance of systematic physical exercise which gymnasts execute on the floor with such hand apparatus as hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon or rope. This beautiful sport promotes the development of intense flexibility, strength, agility, dexterity, hand-eye coordination and musicality. In rhythmic gymnastics routine you’re focusing on your body elements, while coordinating your equipment while still being musical with the routine and executing it clean.
WHY RYTHMIC GYMNASTICS?
This female only sport is so unique that is all about presentation and style. It
performs routine of leaps, contortions and dance that flow in time to music.

Type of Rhythmic Gymnastics
Rope –
In Rhythmic Gymnastics Rope are made with little more magic than your average rope. It’s made of hemp or synthetic material which retains the qualities of lightness for them to easily skip, swing and do rotations. They come I all sizes and an array of fluorescent, bright and pastel colours.
Ball–
It is made from rubber or synthetic light material. It has different sizes they are
chosen according to the skill and size of the gymnasts’ hand. The ball sometimes placed on their back, they throw or bounces. For added difficulty the ball ca also be balanced or rolled on various parts of the body that requires a lot of poise and composure.
Hoop–
A hoop is an apparatus in rhythmic gymnastics and made of plastic or wood.
A hoop routine include rotation around the hand or body and rolling as well as swings, circles, throws and passes through and over the hoop. This is visually stunning and it requires a decent amount of technical prowess.
Clubs–
They are traditionally crafted from wood but synthetic materials are allowed
today; it looks similar to bowling pins or bottles, they are brightly coloured and heavier on the end. They are used to do tapping, circles, throws and swings.
Ribbon–
Its handle is typically made of wood, bamboo, plastic or fiberglass attached
is the ribbon made of satin or a similar material without starch which is long enough to spin and twirl effectively. Ribbon apparatus is one of the iconic and hardest tool in the rhythmic gymnastics, as in needs to be constantly in motion, it include flicks, circles, snakes and spirals and throws. It requires a high degree of coordination to form spirals and circles as any knots may accidentally form in the ribbon are penalised.
Freehand–
They are traditionally crafted from wood but synthetic materials are allowed
